Galentine's Guide

hello february! i can't believe how long january felt, but also how it flew by at the same time. with valentine's day being on a wednesday this year, my friends and i decided to have our galentine's party the sunday after valentine's day. yall i am so excited! this time last year, i didn't have a ton of connections here in portland, and it's so fun to see how much has changed in the past twelve months. these women have become my support system here, and it's nice to have people who are a mere drive away again.

okay let's talk galentines! i'm going to start with outfits!

one thing i love about galentines is that i can be super cheesy and it's totally acceptable! i love graphic tees, especially holiday ones. this is the one i chose, i found it at target for $12.99.

the shoes are also a target purchase, and were $21.99.
pro tip: the shoes are actually kids shoes. i wear a women's 7.5 in shoes, and i typically wear a 5 or 6 in kids shoes. they're way cheaper, and sometimes even cuter than the "adult" options. so if you have small feet like me, check that out next time you're shoe shopping. it has helped me save some money on my bigger shoe purchases, like my chacos and some nikes. one thing to do some research about though, is sometime companies will make kids shoes less durable, because the idea is kids will grow out of them so they don't have to last as long as adult shoes.
